Svetlana Talanova explores the intersection and interconnection between nature and humanity. Her practice centres on camera-less photography, created by hand in the colour darkroom.

Svetlana Talanova  is a London based artist. She holds an MA in Photography (with Distinction for Research) from the Royal College of Art (2021). Talanova has been featured in dozens of group exhibitions across Europe, Asia, Australia and the US, including Shaping Futures at the UK Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai (2022); CCP Salon at Centre for Contemporary Photography, Melbourne, Australia (2022); London Grads Now at Saatchi Gallery, London (2021); Social at CICA Museum, Gimpo, South Korea (2021); Future Fashion at Westfield, London (2021); After The High Tide at Cromwell Place, London (2021); The Makeable Mind at Noorderlicht International Photography Festival, Netherlands (2021); 36th and 37th Annual Open Exhibition at Southwark Park Galleries, London (2020 & 2021); Time to Think at Festival Pil’Ours, France (2019 & 2020); and A Day in Your Life at Saatchi Gallery, London (2019).

She was commissioned by Westfield London (Future Fashion, 2021), to produce a unique large scale work promoting Sustainability for exhibition at Westfield for a year from September 2021 to August 2022.

She has been shortlisted for Bloomberg New Contemporaries (2021) and Arts Thread Global Design Graduate show in Collaboration with GUCCI (2021), nominated for the Fine Art Photography Awards (2021 & 2020) and was selected as a finalist in the Food Photographer of the Year Awards (2020). She was shortlisted for the Royal Photographic Society Postgraduate Bursary (2020). Talanova is the recipient of the a-n Bursary ‘Time Space Money’ (2022) and won a Nikon – NOOR Academy Masterclass in Paris (2022).
