BIO
Svetlana Talanova is a London-based artist, working with cameraless photography, creating images by hand in the darkroom. She explores the intersection and interconnection between nature and humanity, ecology and sustainability.
She holds an MA in Photography (with Distinction for Research) from the Royal College of Art (2021). Talanova has been featured in group exhibitions in Europe, Asia, Australia and the US, including Summer Exhibition, Royal Academy of Arts, London (2022); Shaping Futures, UK Pavilion at Expo 2020, Dubai (2022); CCP Salon, Centre for Contemporary Photography, Melbourne, (2022); Inspiration Women Exhibition, London Grads Now, Saatchi Gallery, London (2021); #social 2021, Czong Institute for Contemporary Art, Seoul, (2021); After The High Tide, Cromwell Place, London (2021); The Makeable Mind, Noorderlicht International Photo Festival, Groningen (2021); Time to Think, Festival Pil’Ours, Saint Gilles Croix de Vie, (2019 & 2020); A Day in Your Life, Saatchi Gallery, London (2019).
She was commissioned by Westfield London (Future Fashion, 2021), to produce a unique large scale work promoting Sustainability for exhibition at Westfield for a year from September 2021 to August 2022.
She was shortlisted for Bloomberg New Contemporaries (2021) and Arts Thread Global Design Graduate show in Collaboration with GUCCI (2021), nominated for the Fine Art Photography Awards (2021 & 2020) and was selected as a finalist in the Pink Lady Food Photographer of the Year Awards (2020). She was shortlisted for the Royal Photographic Society Postgraduate Bursary (2020).
